This page explains how to permanently delete your Blake McGrath Mentorship account, the data that gets removed, and what we are required to retain. Account deletion is permanent — once a request is processed it cannot be reversed.
Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the Blake McGrath Mentorship app and sign in.
- Tap Profile in the bottom tab bar.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Re-type your account email to confirm, then tap Delete.
The deletion is processed immediately. Your profile, uploaded videos, comments, and reactions are removed from our systems within 30 days.
Delete without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email info@cognistrategy.com from the address tied to your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will:
- Verify the request comes from the email associated with the account.
- Process the deletion within 30 days.
- Reply to confirm once deletion is complete.
What we delete
- Your profile, display name, username, bio, avatar, and date of birth.
- Submissions you have uploaded — weekly videos, workbook entries, photos.
- Posts and comments you have authored on the feed and in discussions.
- Reactions and likes you have made.
- Mentor critiques tied to your submissions.
- Subscription records held in our database.
- Messages between you, your assigned mentor, and (if applicable) your linked parent.
What we may retain
To meet legal, accounting, and abuse-prevention requirements we may keep a minimal record of:
- Billing receipts processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe (typically retained for 7 years for tax purposes).
- Reports and moderation actions tied to your account, in de-identified form, so repeat abuse can be detected.
- Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot be tied back to you.
None of this retained data identifies you personally once your account is deleted.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Play Store subscription. To stop being billed, cancel from your device’s subscription settings before requesting deletion:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Blake McGrath Mentorship → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Blake McGrath Mentorship → Cancel.
Children’s accounts
If you are a parent or legal guardian and want a child’s account deleted, email us from the parent address on file with the child’s username. We will verify the relationship before processing the request.
